Silhouettes are everywhere these days and I love the look! This is a terrific example of a family tree using silohouttes done by Inchmark. They actually created it for a Christmas card and then make copies for their parents! Talk about a thoughtful gift.
Read more on the process from Inchmark’s blog.
I’ve been watching Jeanie & Jewell for the past couple of months as Jeanie Nelson worked on this amazing drop cap set. The detail on each letter is absolutely astounding! She is in the process of having the set printed and I can’t wait to order some copies because I think they would be perfect for a wee one’s bedroom!
Here are some new designs from my company {lavish.} for the Minted Breakout Wedding Invitation challenge. Soon you’ll be able to vote on all the designs…so check back soon!

My designs are all based on vintage items with bold color and pattern. I love the garland pennants!! I am obsessed with the chevron pattern right now too.
When I first saw these planters I thought-
“Those look like really cool mod dog bowls.”
And then when I saw how big the planters were, I thought-
“Those look like giant mod dog bowls”.
Nonetheless, I think they are super cool. You can get them from A+R stores in a bunch of colors.
Is it weird that I want to buy this letterpress paper house and just put it on a shelf so I can look at it everyday? I love it!
Here are the details on the paper house from 1canoe2 on etsy.
I can’t stop thinking about this wallpaper from Mod Green Pod! Grey and turquoise are quickly becoming one of my favorite color combos.
Are you as scared as I am of putting up wallpaper? When I was about 12, my parents redecorated my room during the Summer and they made me remove all the old wallpaper from my room. It was a total and completely nightmare. I think that experience has scarred me for life. I would love to hear your experiences!

I will always go with the chair I can sit on!

It is the end of the guide and time to have some fun with the most lavish and extravagent wedding invitations I could find!
When I think of high-end wedding invitations, I immediately think of Bella Figura! I love Bella Figura for so many reasons but mostly because they bring the best designers, printers and artistry together to make gorgeous wedding invitations. Many of the designers on their team are my favorites in the business and I can’t wait to share with you some of my favorites.
(starting top left, clockwise- Jessica Hische, Erin Jang, Tara Hogan and Patricia Mumau)
For the sake of our exercise, I selected the design by Tara Hogan design “Threaded” and customized for 100 invitations and response cards. I added on all the goodies and had the invitations and response cards done letterpress with 2 color printing on 2-ply paper. The invitations and response cards will also have painted corners which is a touch I love that Bella Figura provides! I purchased 110 outside envelopes printed with return address, 100 inside invitation envelopes, and 100 printed response card envelopes. The total for this packages is $1776 before tax.
These invitations are going to be gorgeous!
If you have an open budget, I also suggest visiting some of your local stationery shops to look their their luxury wedding invitation books. They have some terrific options from all the best dealers. In Seattle, I suggest Moxie in West Seattle and Grace and Company Paperie in Bainbridge Island as both have a great selection of high end stationery.
Thanks for reading this guide! If you run into questions as you are searching for your wedding invitations, please feel free to email me.
